Mixed media mosaic on a monster Colorado 3x4 mule deer skull.
 
This mosaic features vintage glass & ceramic fragments collected ethically around the Crested Butte area, 4-corners blue agate, wood & acrylic embellishments. The glass bottle pieces, melted glass & ceramic relics date back to the late 1800s, hailing from the Colorado silvermining boomtown days. The mythical stories of the “good ol’ days” inspired this piece to morph into a mythical creature, sprouting an additional horn & being dubbed by my dad as the ‘rare rhino-buck-ocerous’.
